The Inwood 5K Run was started in 1993 by Co-Directors Peter Sobol and Michael DeRosa.  The race has been held every year except for 1998, when Inwood Park was undergoing renovations.  The race has been a huge success for Inwood, the hidden jewel of the "5 Towns".  Although it's neighboring towns of Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere and Hewlett are more well-known, Inwood is a proud community with a diverse population.  We hope to continue to bring runners to our town for many years to come.
